This made me laugh - on LNG carriers the answer on the laden passage is "Duh of course we lie".
The standard charter party agreement will stipulate a service speed which is comically high and way beyond what the ship can actually achieve, however this service speed isn't applicable if adverse weather is encountered therefore on every laden voyage the sea conditions are permanently a Force 6 minimum.
