Im an audio engineer and have considered working on cruise ships, but my friends that have done it say the enviornment is extremely strict and limited, do you feel this way?

The vast majority of my experience is in theaters so I would probably go for something like that, I also live and breathe what I do. I am sort of used to the Rock and Roll Lifestyle though, my main concern is that I would not be able to experience the travel fully as I can on tours and such.
