I wish I didn't have to take off for the day! In your experience, what's the most realistic discount I should expect when buying a (let's say $30,000) brand new car? What method(s) or bargaining chips should a consumer use to convince a sales manager (or desk manager) to lower their price past their first offer?

Hey Dan, thanks for doing this, your students are very lucky! Is dishonesty a result of contingencies/incentives or more of an innately driven process? Do you find that only humans are capable of 'dishonesty' or are there examples in animals further down the evolutionary line?
