What areas of the country are these initiatives taking place in, and what's the best way to get involved when the possibility of an internet cooperative comes near my community?

They've had Christian Parenti(Michael's son) on as a special episode, I don't think Michael is still too active, but a conversation between Richard and Michael would be very insightful.

Hi Professor Wolff,

I listen to your global capitalism update every month and to your weekly economic update every so often. As each update gets released you seem to point out that things have been getting progressively worse economically over the past year or so, we can see it socially, politically, and from the ideologies which become prevalent in every day life as well as social media.

One interesting article I came across over the past week is this one which basically lays out that all the pieces(mainly the reduced investment by the upper class) are there for an economic collapse similar to 1890 or 1928, which resulted in WWI and WWI respectively.

I consider myself a syndicalist, but nobody is interested in organizing the workplace anymore, and the industries which desperately need it prevent it from occurring. Beyond that the political climate not just by those in office, but by the general public doesn't seem to want to move any further to the left, and is instead opting towards continued neo-liberalism and fascism.

My question for you is do you think we can reform our way into a better economy/economic system, or do you think things will continue to get worse until some sort of revolution/civil war breaks out?

Wage Labor and Capital as well as Value, Price and Profit is a very short booklet which covers basic Marxist economics. Das Kapital is Marx's Magnum Opus, so if you want to really get into the weeds, that is what you should read.

Professor Wolffs books are all very good, Democracy at Work as well as Capitalism's Crisis Deepens are both good and straightforward to read.

Chomsky's book Manufacturing Consent is necessary reading to understand how the media has crucified leftist theory and pushed an anti-communist, anti-socialist message for decades.
