The biggest difference, therefore, is the detergent additives that get added for delivery to different gas stations. That's all "Techron" for Chevron is -- a proprietary detergent additive that's added when the truck fills at the refinery or fuel depot.

The truth is that gas & diesel are rigorously tested by the refinery lab to pretty tight gov't standards and individual refineries use very similar processes to make it. So there's not much difference anyway.

More domestically-produced oil is, without question, a very good thing for this country.
