The timeline for being a PCV is so daunting, and I worry about missing the unplanned events that might happen over the span of 27 months, like births, deaths, weddings, etc. Do you feel any regret being away from your family for so long and missing stuff like this?
Also, regarding your specific program, are you responsible for writing lesson plans? Did you get your TEFL certificate ahed of time or are you earning it through PC? I'm between English Educator programs and agricultural/environmental programs.
