Wow I have a "sciencey" friend who seems to have fallen into CoS in a really similar to how your describing. I'm wondering what your 'station in life' was when this happened to you? How old are/were you? Are there socioeconomic/educational/ethnic factors you think may have played into your being targeted by the church and/or influenced your being so personally open to it?
