Josh as chief of staff... non negotiable.

Valid point. Citizenship can be legally taken away, but Catalonia is at the heart of Europe and it would be hard to deny retention or accelerated membership, even with objection from a weakened Spain.

No, it wouldn't be. You could reduce the sovereign territory of Spain to a 1 meter squared box and as long as that box contains one person physically capable of casting a no vote, Catalonia would be blocked indefinitely. EU membership requires the UNANIMOUS consent of all member states. Catalonia without Spainish consent would find itself completely unable to join the EU and very likely unable to make a deal with it. No EU state wants to encourage their own secessionist movements. And plenty have them.

Similar to the Scotland Independence conundrum, but without the currency complexities. As an Irishman I support Independence for small nation's but I wonder are the Russians laughing at Europes disunity.

Scottish independence had the willingness of the UK government to move forward. Take that away and Scotland has the same problem Catalonia faces. Except for Catalonia, probably worse, because I suspect that it is a bigger tourist destination than Scotland. Imagine all those EU citizens who wouldn't bother going if they were not part of the open borders agreement anymore.

My younger brother is 16. I've interacted a bit with his friends. Some of them could pass for older, if you squint. But the second you say more than two words to them? No one would be fooled. 15 year olds can look old enough. Very, very rarely would they convincingly pass for such. They think they're a lot more mature than they are and it's painfully obvious. How on earth does someone have enough of a conversation to hook up without ever once seeing serious red flags?

Basically, Ancient Aliens isn't just misrepresenting the facts... it openly and brazenly makes things up and outright lies. The documentary is actually broken into a bunch of segments, each focusing on a different episode... if you're willing to watch for 20 minutes, you could pick a segment that looks interesting and get the gist.
