Can we just have a relationship between a man and a woman that is not romantic? I mean it happens in real life. It should happen in fiction too. And I know that Penelope and Morgan had that. Why not Reid and JJ also?

I know this isn't strictly a photography related ama, but wow! I really admire your dedication to the art of photography. I own a few analog cameras (both 35mm and middle format) that I still use sometimes and I don't manage to plow my way through simple black and white development of the film. I never printed my own negatives and wouldn't even know where to begin. But just thinking about your whole process of taking pictures has me in awe!

How much preparation goes into "grabbing" your camera and taking pictures? I mean it isn't just snatching a roll or two and strolling through the neighborhood, right? You obviously have to plan ahead what you want to photograph and how. How would you even meter film that large? Do you use available light or do you even try artificial lighting? So many questions I never thought about regarding large format photography.

And don't even get me started on thinking about you working for Ansel Adams! How insane is that?

Hi, not the original poster but also question about someone who had Ribavirin/Interferon therapy. Is it true that one is never really "cured" of hep c? The one I know is barred from donating blood or organs although all pcr-tests after (and even during) the therapy came back as "under the provable threshold" or something like that. There is no complication of the therapy left otherwise. The liver is fine and the virus didn't do any damage.

Wow! Thank you for the silver!

Unfortunately (well, for this special case unfortunately) I Iive in Germany 30km close to Dutch border near Nijmegen) and I know that there are some projects that try to popularize analog film and printing but not where I live. Maybe my next house will have space for a darkroom.

"feeling" the right exposure must be awesome. I try to go with sunny 16 and check with a light meter app on my phone if guessed correctly and I am getting pretty good at it I think.

I'm always fighting the urge to sell my some of my analog gear. With rising prices for film and dev&scan it's getting an expensive hobby. I could get a nice sum out of selling some of the more valuable ones. But on the other hand, they are my babies (a bit at least). And my M3 is older than my own mother and it still works perfectly and will for another 50 years. And even if I sold it to get something nice and digital it will loose its value pretty quickly whereas my babies will still be precious.
