Can you give an actual definition of racism? I see the part about "power plus prejudice and authority", but that's not a particularly clear definition. If the hiring partner at a law firm believes from personal experience that certain minorities tend to do a good job at the firm, yet avoids using that bias in hiring decisions, s/he'd be racist under your current definition, but that doesn't seem objectionable.

I'll ask my question in a different format, perhaps that will help. I think the definition of racism you use is something like "any practice by a person in power, that reflects an unfavorable racial bias, that materially harms a person from a racial group that is underrepresented in positions of social power". Does that just about sum it up?

Do you require a diagnosis of gender dysphoria before you'll assist in gender transition treatment?

Would you say that the Medical Experts and Consultative Examiners at SSA are unbiased? Does the system provide any incentive to give an opinion against claimants, e.g. are they less likely to get another contract if they side with claimants?
