Because everyone's idea of "a little" and "a lot" are different. If they're not sure exactly how much you want, they'll out on the normal amount and ask if you want more. If you say something along the lines of "A fist full of lettuce" they should out it on as such.

I've worked at Subway for almost a year, except that mine is in a Love's truck stop.

If you don't mind me asking(or if you're able/allowed to answer), what's the starting pay for a standalone subway in your area? How often do you get customers that basically ask you to ruin their sandwich, then complain about it when it's done? Have you tried the new and "improved" salad choppers? Oh, and how old is the equipment in your store?

Specifically, the turkey is cured differently for the cold cut. Some slices are cured like ham, others like bologna, and the rest like salami.

My store recently got renovated, so we have all the new equipment. The newer ovens cook faster but proof slower, and heaven forbid you bump the volume knob. That thing is loud enough to scare people in the bathrooms on the other side of the store when turned up.

What are some interesting reasons people have given when giving g you a tip?

I also work at a Subway. Some of my coworkers say they're "Feeding the retard", the rest of us just say we're filling the retarder.
