Oh my god, Wings of Liberty makes so much sense now.

Absolutely.

Imagine an English speaker living in China trying to prevent their child from ever learning Mandarin.

You can even imagine that America had been nuked and very few Americans survived - making them endangered. It's still absolutely cruel for them to isolate and disable their child.

Yet this is how some people would behave, unfortunately. Some people put their ideas of culture ahead of actual people. And some deaf people do behave like that. Nobody said the situation doesn't suck, but there's a clear right and wrong there.

address the emotional and mental needs of the person, ESPECIALLY those with families.
