It really seems silly to me that people wear fake hair on-top of their real hair because of a religious law that says you have to cover your hair, when we're at that point isn't it just time to maybe... get rid of that law?

Orthodox Jewish practitioners in particular seem to really jump through hoops to technically satisfy the requirements of their laws, while still avoiding them - like having other people do their work on Saturdays, have Shabbat elevators that stop on every floor, special Shabbat timers for their appliances, Shabbat lamps, erect Eruvs (areas incorporating public and private into one domain) so you can carry stuff outside your homes, can't use a key but you can use an article of clothing and so on...

They have all these rules in place, then figured out all these ways to circumvent them - is that really following the spirit of the law?

As an outsider, it seems really silly, and kinda hilarious.

As a Dane, I cannot confirm this, as we ain't got dem fancy wolves 'n bears where we come from.

General rule of thumb: If it's large it's usually not very venomous or venomous at all, it's the small ones you gotta look out for.
