Hello,

I am a long-time fan of Futurama. I don't want to imagine having to live in a world where "That guy makes Speedy Gonzales look like Regular Gonzales" and "Your music's bad, and you should feel bad" aren't phrases I regularly incorporate into my life. So thank you for not forcing me to confront that fear.

I noticed you guys have been actively involved in a number of charities and clearly look to use your influence to do good. I am someone who is trying to bring a charitable venture to the attention of celebrities with large social media followings so they can increase public awareness of the charity. Do you have any advice for how to successfully reach out to celebrities with the aim of getting them to promote public awareness of a new charity?

Thanks for taking the time to do this AMA, and especially if you can provide any info to me.

Hello,

For me, your most memorable role will be always be I Heart Huckabees. You were fantastic in such a quirky role. The bonnet-ed commercial was particularly hilarious.

Thank you very much for taking the time to share here.

Hello Kumail.

Like many here, I have really enjoyed your work in Silicon Valley and Portlandia. Though for me, my all time favorite was your Conan interview where you discussed bidets (anyone who hasn't seen this should watch it immediately).

As a technical individual running a company in the Bay Area, Silicon Valley is both hilarious and often painfully accurate. I am now devoting more of my time to make a positive difference by using technology I have developed for charitable purposes. As someone who is trying to bring a charitable venture to the attention of celebrities with large social media followings so they can increase public awareness of the charity, do you have any advice for how to successfully reach out to celebrities with the aim of getting them to promote public awareness of a new charity?

Hello Aryeh,

Thank you very much for the suggestion. I have reached out to a number of security non-profits but had not come across the National Cyber Security Center. I will certainly reach out to them.

Thanks again.

Hello,

As someone who has an extensive background in entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and education, I was hoping you might have advice for my situation.

I am starting a charitable non-profit that will provide a free security offering to consumers, including free incident response services. I would like to collaborate with universities to give aspiring security professionals an opportunity to get real-world incident response experience while contributing to a good cause and fulfilling a serious public need.

Without an especially strong personal network, the marketing aspects of the venture will be the most daunting aspect of the endeavor. But I ultimately feel it will be worth that hard work to do some genuine good in an area where there is no focus by others. Given your own experiences, do you have any insight into how someone in my position could best engage the public, universities, and the government to raise awareness?

Thank you so much.
