The scene in Hostel where Paxton runs into Rick Hoffman's character in the locker room and they discuss whether to kill quickly or slowly was one of the most horrifying scenes in any of your movies for me, despite the complete lack of gore or violence. What inspired you to include that?

How do parasitic relationships between two species come to be (more specifically than just "evolution"). Also, how long does it take for the unfortunate party in the duo to develop protection against the parasitic party? (A favorite of Reddit seems to be the tarantula hawk wasp/tarantula relationship)
