Why are the pylons canted outboard, is it to improve weapons separation behavior on launch?

My mom and my dad have been having spats for the last 10 years or so. They never last long and they still get along great in between.

The thing is, I asked my dad not too long ago (after another spat) why they hadn't gotten divorced yet, and he said he wasn't really sure.

How can I convince both of them to look for help with their relationship without ruining my relationship with both of them?
