Merry Christmas! How do you respond to the growing trend away from organized religion in today's youth? In your opinion, what's the reason behind it?

Apologies if it's a bit too personal or offensive, but do you ever resent your parents for choosing to have kids with a genetic condition like that? Or did they never expect you to have an extreme case (unlike their mild cases)?
