Will you come to my birthday party

While I myself am not a serious climber, I have climbed a fair bit and my close friends are very serious climbers. If you do not currently climb mountains I would give yourself around 5 years of hard work and dedication before you would be ready for this sort of venture. Money aside, climbing mountains is a very serious, taxing, and dangerous activity. Friends and myself have been seriously injured on challenging but much smaller climbs. If you really want to do this, start climbing local and make some close friends with the same goal and mind set. Climbing is extremely rewarding and even if you do not make it to Everest, it will pay off in other climbs.
