The solution is simple in a way. If we all could peer into the lives of the other people we dislike - we could all probably come to terms with the differences. To see the commonality we all have.

One of the practices I've learned in Buddhism is that we all suffer birth, old age, sickness and death. There are many practices that are taught in order to build compassion. If people could imagine a human behind every text post in some way, it would make people less cold towards each other.
