As someone in biotech research, I wish applicants wouldn't hide McDonalds from their resume. What that (or comparable experience) tells me is that they did what they had to do to get by, and probably learned a bit of humility and work ethic along the way. The worst hires are fresh faces out of top schools who never worked anywhere except maybe an internship at their parent's friend's lab.

So I understand the disappointment but I think they should be proud, especially if its helping them get somewhere.
