Hi there Ubisoft! There is a few things I would like to ask:

  • You have said before that e.g. feudal Japan is "one of the worst settings for an Assassin's Creed game". When you look for a setting for an Assassin's Creed game, what elements are you looking for? What criteria should a setting meet in order to be considered as a good option?

  • Many of us at the Assassin's Creed section here at reddit wonder if the "Tyranny of King George" DLC will be considered canon, and if there will be an explanation for why we are going through memories of history that never happened?

  • Are there any eras or places that you would like to explore in an Assassin's Creed title, but will not do so because of historical problems that doesn't fit the lore (or any other problem)?

  • What is the most important thing to you when you are recreating a real historical character like Richard Lionheart, Leonardo da Vinci or Washington?

Finally, a minor request: Seeing as how much history, nations and cultures are referenced in the Assassin's Creed series, it would mean the world to me if you would mention Scandinavia once in a while in the future. I've played all the games, and Scandinavia is only referenced to once in a mail from Shaun in AC:B (he asks if he can use the animus to find out if he really has Norse ancestors), and it would make me really pleased to hear some more references.

Thanks for making Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft!

Hi there Joe!

I wonder what sort of experience or qualification do you need to become a game writer? I'm personally leaning towards studying medicine, but being part of the writing of a game has been a small dream of mine for as long as I can remember. I honestly don't want to have to choose between those two jobs, because I've always wanted to do both, so I'm hoping that I can study medicine and still be able to get a job as a writer at some point in my life.

So, is there some qualification or experience I would need in order to become a writer for a game studio?
