I've always wanted to see a real, ancient inukshuk. What would be the best way to visit and genuinely get to know the locals and see the wilderness? Do you know of any volunteer type programs that let people truly see how you live and learn about your culture and history?

In theory, yes. But have you considered the 'lazy tax'? Basically the cost of annual renewal goes up because statistically customers are more likely to simply pay it as opposed to shopping around or even starting a new policy, with the same insurer.

You are absolutely correct. The culture of under-achieving, welfare-dependency, substance abuse and crime is self-perpetuating when these kids have no foundation to be productive human beings. They are simply not given the tools to survive independently. Ideally yes there would be support mechanisms in place for such vulnerable youth and each dollar spent on education should be seen as a hundred dollars that won't have to spent on incarceration down the line. Unfortunately that's not how society works and instead we embrace sterilisation incentive schemes, which in the cold light of objectivity can't be immediately dismissed as lunacy.
