Really? That's fantastic. I've never been but I'm going to keep that tidbit in the back of my mind. My family would be mortified, pardon the pun.

I apologize if this is an insensitive question, but one of my cousins was born with Downs Syndrome and its something I have always wanted to ask my aunt, but I know it would open a serious can of worms and probably get me ostracized from my family.

Do you have any plan in place for when you and his mother pass away? With his condition, is he expected to outlive you two, in the same way my cousin will likely live past her parents?

I really hope so. My uncle is in insurance and the majority of my family are lawyers so I am fairly confident its come up at least once in the last 16 years (there have been a few deaths in the family that would make convenient talking opportunities.)

I am not exactly taken super seriously in my family, its HUGE and I am one of the older grandkids, my cousin is 16. I live a pretty alternative lifestyle coming from the Roman Catholic family back home. I don't think I could get away with bringing it up without starting some serious crap. Any suggestions on an approach?
