Well, I'm one of those people, and I watched the BCCT about a half-dozen times when I was like 13, so let me offer my opinion. Larry's comedy and delivery is grating to many people that don't have redneck pride, all of Foxworthy's jokes were played out by the mid-90s and done better by other comedians, and Engvall just plain isn't memorable at all other than his "Here's your sign" bit. Both Foxworthy and Engvall lose relatability points for a Reddit-age audience because a disproportionately high number of Redditors are unmarried 20-somethings, so marriage jokes just aren't relatable. Ron, however, has a unique look and delivery, and his jokes are darker and more cynical than the rest.

In other words, Foxworthy milks marriage and rednecks for comedy, Larry milks rednecks for comedy, and Engvall milks marriage and "Here's your sign" for comedy. Ron doesn't have a gimmick really, just the Tater Salad and whiskey/cigars stuff. That's why I have a LOT more respect for Ron as a comedian than any of the other three chumps.
