An orgy of bangs....

My mother is native american and I consider myself to be native american. I remember when I was a child my grandfather traveled from the reservation in Maine to Boston and New York City to work as a mason. He would work the week then come home on weekends to see the family. It was the only way for him to make a decent living which he did. Those who worked on the reservation full time made half what he did. It did make it hard for him to have a close relationship with the family though. Of course he was retired by the time I was seven so I don't remember him traveling I just mostly hear the stories from my mom on how hard he worked and tried to provide for his family. I know more about my tribe than most of the people that live on the reservation and I speak the language better than those living on the reservation all thanks to my grandfather and mother. So I guess being on the reservation allows you to be surrounded by your culture is definitely a positive thing but my experience of having spent summers on the reservation and the rest of the year off the reservation has made me appreciate being in both communities. At heart I always consider myself native american even if I'm only half.

This is journalism, you base your story on fact's, not speculation and not ideology. Many people watching MSNBC and FOX News have forgotten what unbiased objective story telling is.

Did you ever consider maybe going into marketing instead? You seem to have a knack for free publicity.

Yes I was but not badly it was just because I wasn't there that often. I was close with my cousins though.
