Or... maybe it's the same reason you can't smell how bad your shit smells when you're sitting down, but the guy walking into the restroom next gags so hard he almost tries up.

Or the reason why you can't feel your socks when you're wearing shoes, notice your tongue is taking up all the room in your mouth, how heavy your jaw actually is, the fact that your nose is always visible, or how annoying breathing manually is.

Your body gets used to it and filters it out.
