No love for PowerBI? It's hard to beat the engine behind it.

I disagree with you there. Power BI isn't a OLTP or OLAP tool, it's a data analytics tool and only as good as the dataset it's using. Not to mention you can connect it to anything from Facebook to Spark, I don't think there are really any connections you're lacking with Power BI.. Admittedly I am just a BI dev/architect and not really using any of this from an analytics prospective, only providing the tools and data to those who need it.

If you haven't used Power BI in the last couple years I'd suggest taking another look. With the monthly release cycle they have come a long way since the initial release.

Yes, I know... I'm drowning in the Microsoft kool-aid, really, regardless of the tools being used there need to be more people in this industry helping corporations brainwash their customers find valuable insights in their data.

If anything this bolsters the power of data analytics. It's already a great market for anyone in the data industry and there's been no sign of that slowing down. Data is gold!
