Nobody has their "own spot" in the office, you can choose the zone and the seat every morning or you can move to another spot if you feel like it.
This sort of thing makes me quite doubtful of any other claims you make about planning layouts based on human psychology.
Most people will have their "own spot" in the office, it just won't be official. And there will be people who derive great pleasure from moving to another spot and watching the people who usually sit there freak out.
