I've also found that the thought of Hell and thoughts of the afterlife leads some people, usually through fear, back to their religion, despite those doubts. Hell is a huge concept to break.

What do you think to Post Traumatic Growth (PTG)?

What is the workup to work overseas in such an environment? (For example, how long was the extra training and workshops if there were any? Did you increase your scope of practice by attending? Are patients in developing countries more of less challenging?)

What happened after you got shot? Did you go unconscious? Was it painful?
