Hi. I am currently serving as a photographer in the Air Force. I am not an aerial photographer, but it is an option if I choose to pursue it.

What was your school and training like?

Was it what you wanted to do, or was it a, "Congrats, this is now your job." Kinda thing?

Did you ever do work for documentation purposes, or was your work strictly for recon and intel purposes.

Did you do much work in the darkroom or did you just hand your imagery over to people to process?

Thanks! This is all very interesting.

Just wanted to say I'm pretty jealous. I am a photojournalist for the us air force. I got to shoot pictures and video of our planes flying Rwandan soldiers into bangui and I hung out on the ground for about an hour each time. Thst refugee camp is just. Wow. You don't really understand what places like this are going through until you see it first hand.

Just wanted to say thanks for what you do. It's truly important.

Do you think the military response is appropriate? If so what can they provide that will help? What do you think could be a drawback to their involvement?
