This is modern day slavery, and the government allows it because of "Grey areas" that Amazon takes clear advantage of.

If you want people to take you seriously choose your words more carefully. Modern day slavery? Really? Are you being forced to work there? No. Are you being paid? Yes. That doesn't sound anything like slavery to me. If it's really so bad that you call it slavery then don't work there, but it seems like plenty of people are fine with working in those conditions.

As for the "Grey areas" you keep referring to, in my state you are only guaranteed a 30 minute break for any shift longer than 6 hours so there is nothing illegal there.

Osha recommends keeping a working environment between 68 and 76 but they don't require it. I'm an electrician who has to climb through attics when it's 100 degrees outside, I promise you those attics are much hotter than your warehouse, but someone has to do it and there's nothing illegal about having to work in those conditions.

Overall, I'm sure there is plenty amazon could do to improve working conditions for their employees. Build more bathrooms so it doesn't take 5 minutes to get to one, install proper air conditioning, etc. I do hope that they make these changes even if it ends up costing me more for the products they sell. However reading your post it's hard to tell what is accurate, and what is a gross exaggeration like referring to a job that you are free to leave at anytime and that pays you slavery.

I took a drawing class in college that included nude models, and I have nothing but respect for the confidence it must take. I only ever once had a model go around after the session looking at the drawings of her. Do you like to see how people see you or do you prefer not to?
