Hello Dr. Jess. I wanted to ask your opinion on the actions taken by my country's decision to get more women into the field of research.

In India, the ministry of education is thinking about lowering the minimum marks of admission for females to get into engineering courses in prestigious government run technological institutes (IITS). It is a good thing that they are encouraging females to achieve higher. What are your thoughts on the matter, considering that exceptional merit is demanded in jobs like theirs?
