I'm up in middle Manitoba and have noticed the same they came late and have left already. I put out many feeders and they were all fattened up for their journey and their numbers were up this year! My question is:is it known of how they actually migrate I've heard that they will piggyback on larger birds like Canada geese and some say that they don't they just fly the entire way on their own. I've read it has never been confirmed due to their elusive shyness?

Is it true most cancer treatment is the same as it was in the 50's and if so where has the trillion or so dollars raised by various cancer organizations gone?

If your collaring and tagging don't hurt the bears what is the reasons for collecting the data? I've watched too many documentaries where the conservationists or what have you watch bears starve and suffer and die. If you do no harm and do no good (but collect useless info) What's the point? If you're not helping an animal you supposedly care about, just leave it alone. I see no purpose to most of these conservation efforts. If you saw a stranded helpless human you would race out there and do everything to help them. Seems like a waste of time if you are not helping the animal! IMO.
