A friend of my grandma was childfree by choice with her husband for many years. I know this because when she passed away in her late 70's there was a big article in the local paper about her because starting in her 50's she and her husband fostered over 200 children and adopted three.

It's about a guy and his brother who are white skinned but discover that their dad was black and passing as Italian. His white mother sends them to live with their fathers mom, but keeps their sister to raise. She does this because her family hates the kids for being 1/4 black. They are made to go to the black only high school and are treated as black even though they are blonde and blue eyed. He's on the left on the cover.
