His claim that ‘bad’ things are in fact ‘good’ to some degree is debatable between parties. This can be considered subjective of moral relativism, where moral worth depends on the subjective perspective applied.

As a side note, I’m not sure why an issue with morality without a source would lead to Catholicism. There’s plenty of secular moral theories, and even assuming the existence of God, He may not necessarily be the source of morality, depending on how you define it.

Not op. But I imagine his response may run along the lines of recognising the problem immigration presents to all national governments. It's an issue that requires proper research which ordinary redditors don't really have the resources to do justice. However, on an intuitive level, although it is prudent not to grant everyone who comes in with a 2 year old citizenship, it also doesn't seem fair to kick someone out because they came in as a 2 year old, despite being an otherwise functioning member of society. Surely there exists a potential legislation which can resolve both these problems.
