I'm hoping for a new career explosion

Really good question, not what I expected. It's beautiful! A lot of the country is countryside and the hills just come out of flat landscapes and there's loads of little gardens and walks and things like that. I know this because they always made sure we stopped off and saw them. Mt Peakdo in the north is a stunning creator lake.

Not that we weren't allowed to speak to them but they didn't speak english or we weren't introduced to them. It was guide and hotel staff really.

They both thought it was the dog's bollocks (forgive the pun). Very positive. In a moment of bravery I asked one what happens to people if people commit a crime in Korea and she laughed at me and told me flat out that no one commits crimes and it really looked to me like she believed that.

We had a lot of conversations, what would you like to know about?

We heard these stories as well. I've read stuff about people driving down a road and driving around the block and driving down the same road with different shop faces on. People in shopping centres were one floor is heaving with people buying things but if you sneak out the fire escape and go down a floor it's empty.

You're right that we're only shown what they want us to be shown, but I don't want to speculate here, just recount my experience.

The border and DMZ was very tense. Soldiers everywhere and we were told that both sides shot people who cross over. I remember going for a run around the hotel grounds without a guide (which was allowed) and that was quite nerve racking. The only other time I was alone was when I left the mass games just before they began to buy a drink and everyone was staring at me which was very odd.
