If, as a farmer for example, you don't want people to see how farm operations work, does it raise more questions or solve a problem?

Wouldn't you think that Ag-Gag laws are in some ways beneficial in that it prevents predatory applicants or zealot "workers" with alternative agendas, maliciously or intently, bringing down the company by violating Animal Rights themselves "for a greater good"?

Whats to stop these rogue workers from using social media to create a frenzy that would negatively impact the manager/owners businesses? Especially when it could be spun falsely to garner shock and awe factor. This could all be done with out the Managers knowledge.

Many of these business have many many other forms of audits-checks an balances, etc... Look at the Guatamalan child laborers found in the Chicken Farm in Ohio... That is a major ethical sourcing violation and the USDA will be reviewing the last audit in addition to all the retailers that that farm supplied.

i.e. Cecil the Lion, right or wrong, destroyed a dentist's business, a disgruntled worker could create in-humane situations with out managers knowledge to hurt their employer.
