Before I ask my question, I should provide some background. There are 8,000 members of the KKK nationwide and probably around 20,000 neo-Nazis. Both groups are hated by everyone. It hardly seems like there is a "fascist uprising" in the nation.

My question is, given what I have stated, why do you think it is that Antifa has developed such a strong "Hitler has risen again" mindset? Is it just fear? Is it a desire to be a hero? What makes them convinced that there is such a strong fascist presence that they must go as far as they do?

I'm also curious, since members of Antifa I personally have talked with are self proclaimed communists, to what extent are the teachings of Marx, Engels, and Lenin discussed and reflected upon within the Antifa community?

What is a typically overlooked social change you feel has been for the better? What is a typically overlooked social change you feel has been for the worst? If you don't mind expanding, why do you feel this way towards these changes?

awful lot of closet racists Just because you are a racist, does not make you inherently violent. You can hate someone and not have the balls to do anything about it. My extended family is an example

Lots of violence. A President who has made blatantly racist and jingoist comments. An ongoing war between US police officers and citizens of color that kills well over a thousand Americans a year.

Again, hardly a fascist uprising. Violence and ignorance? Absolutely. But hardly fascism. Few people seem to know what fascism is (and that's partially because fascism is one of those words that has little meaning)

I think a lot of young people have good instincts and say, "There are Nazis parading in the street and we need to stop them."

And very few seem people have the good instincts to go "hey, there are people who want to bring a communist revolution about. They are even in the streets beating people up and burning our buildings and homes. We should probably stop them!" despite, as I've said, the communists outnumbering the Nazis significantly
