Have you ever considered interviewing folks in the real estate business? Agents/brokers, mortgage bankers, etc. Specifically people with about 15 years of experience or so. So that you can get an understanding of how their jobs have changed from regulation since the Bubble and the crash.

What’s great about it is that it’s a field that has a lot of parts to it. Lenders, listing agents, purchaser agents, home inspectors, appraisers, etc.

Everyone’s job is very specific and crucial to different parts of a single transaction and so there are probably a dozen different interviews you could get in that one field.
