How do pharmacies like the West Virginia one get away with selling crazy amount of opiates without the DEA catching on? I know it’s different but if they are regulating small amounts of lost pills they must be regulating massive supply to tiny ass towns

Hey I used to volunteer in an ECT second stage recovery room at a large hospital. Here they would induce siezures under general anesthesia. Every time I worked there I would see a literally stream of patients filtering through, some as young as early 20s. I always thought it was strange that the doctors and nurses couldn’t tell me exactly what happens to help depression other than “it kind of resets the brain...” although there are the risks, do you think this treatment is still a viable solution if the patient is properly informed of the dangers? I remember doctors used to say it is one of the most effective treatments even though there is not much understanding in the mechanism of how it works
