Depends on what you mean by "don't listen." If you mean, "listen, but verify with our best science, and ignore when you see that it's propaganda," then it's perfectly productive.

Okay. So.
The entire modern history of humanity is essentially one constant war. The moment we had the technology to mobilize large armies over long distances, geopolitics has essentially consisted of regional superpowers mass-murdering their own poor and gullible to mass-murder the poor and gullible of other cultures, invading, annexing, end extending their political will as far as possible via military power.
This has been a constant for over one thousand years, but it came to a screeching halt, all at once, on August 9, 1945.
So say what you want about fallout, MAD, cold wars, and the risk of nuclear annihilation generally. Has the world become better as a result of nuclear proliferation? Yes, absolutely and unambiguously so. Much, much better. We now live in a world where people were shocked - shocked - that Russia would annex a foreign territory. That is because of nuclear weapons.
When you imagine a world without nuclear weapons, you are imagining a world of world war after world war after world war, ad infinitum, as empires rise, overextend, and fall, while throwing their young men in a meat grinder.

Don't start giving money to random people on reddit who say something bad happened to them. Please. This never turns out well. This is even a new account.

If he has a degree in education he's not a biologist unless he also has an advanced degree in biology.

I, personally, would encourage you to read anything that doesn't reinforce our biases. If you're swaying one way but aren't already solid, this is prime time for you to be open to new ideas.
Read Darwin's Black Box if you're science-minded. I'm a physicist by education and I think the conclusions in the book are shit, but it's one of the best books I can recommend to get an alternate viewpoint. Give it a go.
