I'm not the OP but my dad is a mechanic and has his own shop.

About 6 months ago a guy called up and wanted to bring his car in. My dad told him that since he bought the car through CarHop that he would need to get approval from them before doing any work. The guy started arguing with my dad and my dad stood his ground and told him he couldn't do anything unless he has an approval. After a couple minutes of this the guy gets incredibly pissed and tells my dad "I'm coming down there and killing all of you." My dad figured he only said it because he was pissed but he decided to lock the doors to the shop anyway. About a half hour after that the guy shows up pounding on the door saying he has a gun. My dad, not taking any chances, calls the cops and gives them the guys license plate number, he leaves after my dad tells him he was calling. About 20 minutes later a cop shows up to talk to my dad and tells him that they caught the guy getting on the freeway and that he is wanted for 2 murders in Illinois. The guy called my dad's shop from jail and leaves a message saying "This ain't over". A few days later he was extradited to Illinois on the murder charges.

I know why I love it.
