Here's the thing: the Arab world doesn't care about the Palestinian people. They care only about using them as a club to beat the Israelis. Most Arab countries use Israel as a way of deflecting attention from their own internal problems. The fact that people have been living in "refugee camps" for 60+ years should be a clue. After that length of time--and that many generations--people aren't "refugees", they're immigrants and settlers. But these countries won't let the Palestinians assimilate. Sad, but true: Israel is the only country in the Middle East where at least some Palestinian Arabs get to participate in a democratic government.

You may be able to do it on contingency with the right lawyer. Also file an ethics complaint with the state bar about that bad attorney.

So, mostly old Pride rules. Pride was awesome.

Liberals may not have liked him, but they often had only a caricatured view of his jurisprudence. He was a serious defender of individual liberties against the power of the state. I happen to like his maximalist views of things like the confrontation clause and the first amendment.
