Yea I love the character. He's like Toby from the Office who I also love. I sometimes feel bad for laughing at sad sap characters, but I suppose that's a testament to the actor's ability.

One of the hardest I've laughed in the show was when Donna drops the mail on Jerry's soup and it spills and April walks up in the meanest straight face and says "Jerry you got soup all over our mail... jerk!" I don't know why but I laughed quite heartily at that.
