Not OP of course, but I highly recommend getting a solid background in IT before trying to climb up the infosec ladder - a degree in IT, tech management or MIS would probably give you more exposure to various things than a pure cybersecurity degree.

I like Blue Teaming and its pretty fun, I guess in the interim I'd like to lean toward a more advanced blue teamer with pen testing knowledge.

I just got into the field late last year as a SOC analyst and want to improve my future hireability and job searches. What would be some good resume and skill builders that would grab employer's attentions? I'm thinking CISSP/IS2 Associates but am unsure overall about what would help.
