Starflight was a game that captured my imagination as a 11 year old. When I was in my thirties a game came out that bored the hell out of me called "Mass Effect". I felt Mass Effect was a modern day version of Starflight but not as fun. Did you recognize any similarities or feel like Starflight was copied? Also, thank you for Doki Doki Universe.
