I find that when I feel like I'm addicted to the internet, where I'm up late staring at the same old stuff and just can't help it I don't really feel addicted, but more realistically depressed. I look at it how it is, say I'm depressed and then I force myself to get out and do something. It helps me to start the next day fresh. So the next day I'll wake up and not really touch my phone or computer unless it is to contact someone, then I'll try to go be in nature and do something exciting (for me, it's biking). This brings back a lot of excitement and really makes the rest of the week awesome.
