Have you ever treated someone with hidradenitis suppurativa?? If yes, how so?

I ask because it seems like something not a lot of dermatologists know about, and from the support groups I am in, it seems very difficult to treat.

Thank you so much for replying!! it gives me a bitter happiness to know that you know about this awful condition. Does it have any connection to other autoimmune disorders than manifest through the skin, such as psoriasis? Since Humira and Embrel are used to treat it? Also, since you mentioned the treatment options, is this something now that you think dermatologists are beginning to focus more on?

Shes a dermatologist, Ganglion cysts are joint related. orthopedist or hand surgeon would be a better bet. primary care doctors can drain them too though apparently. just depends.
