Something that I've always been wondering: does Blizzard keep track of all the chat messages?

CFOP / Fridrich is what he uses. It has 4 'substeps'

1) You make a cross on the bottom (usually white, but some can do it on any face)

2) Then you solve the first 2 layers by pairing up matching corner/edge pairs and inserting them in the appropriate slot. IIRC 42 seperate cases but it's done intuitively usually.

3) You 'orient' the top face (usually yellow) so every piece is right face up but not in the right spot yet. Can be done in around ~50 algs, or 7~ algorithms but breaking it up in substeps, 2 look OLL.

4) You 'permutate' the last layer by a set of 21 algorithms.
