Hello Otto, I work in Chile with Humberto Maturana (my father was de editor of The Tree of Knowledge with Francisco Varela), and the perspective natural drift like an alternative mecanism of evolution in complex systems it so interesant to related with your work. My first question is: Do you are interest to see the biological grounds of you work? In wich dimension do you thing that we share this U process with the principal process of living beings?

Beautiful reflection about the being that its being born!, thats the key of evolution, a paradoxical phenomenon between the consevation of a legacy and the innovation of how this legacy needs to re-create it self (trought the particular trayectory of individuals) for keep the correspondence with the changing present (wich is axis of continuity). --- I will send you two papers of a new aproach of this phenomena by Maturana an one of his bright collegue, who work on Evo-Devo (Evolution and Devolopement) an amazing new discipline of evolution biology that its starting to show us how he history of the individuals (ontogeny) re-capitulate the history of our species (philogeny), and, of course, like Nietzsche said*, in each ontogenic cycle open the possiblity of a new history with unespected feauters, recovering the active role of our decisions in the drift of our species. Evolutions is an open phenomena to the creativty of our behaviors driven by our intimate preference, not only with "natural selection".
